Geo Pro Automates Screen Adjustment and Blending

The RQ7 Series comes equipped with built-in geometric adjustment tools, including a point-based Free Grid function for precise correction of localized screen distortion. It also includes preactivated licenses for advanced Geo Pro software. These licenses cover the ET-UK20 Geometry Manager Pro Software Upgrade Kit, which adds extensive functionality with advanced line, shape, and bitmap masking tools, and the ET-CUK10 Auto Screen Adjustment Upgrade Kit, which automates edge-blending and adjusts brightness, color, and black levels using a camera for seamless multi-projection alignment.

Contrast Sync and Shutter Sync via LAN Cable Only

Traditionally, Dynamic Contrast control was applied individually to each projector in a multi-screen setup, which often caused step noise in blends due to variations in the Average Picture Level (APL). Panasonic’s Contrast Sync solves this problem by using the average APL across all projectors in the system, ensuring a smooth, unified multi-screen image. The RQ7 Series is the first Panasonic projector to support Contrast Sync via LAN cable only, eliminating the need for a serial cable connection and simplifying the system setup. Additionally, the shutter timing of all sub-projectors is synchronized with the main projector via the LAN connection, providing seamless fade-in and fade-out effects across the entire projection.

Import and Save Custom Test Patterns

In addition to 10 built-in test patterns, the RQ7 Series allows users to import and save up to 4 custom images in JPEG, BMP, or PNG format via its Web Control UI or USB memory device. These images can be used as test patterns, start-up logos, or no-signal screensavers. This feature enables installers to calibrate projectors using client content or custom images without the need to connect to a media source device.

Note: This function replaces Logo Transfer Software.

Quickly Find the Projection Angle with Angle Monitor

The RQ7 Series supports 360° projection angles, allowing for image mapping on floors, walls, and 3D objects. Aligning the projection angle with the design simulation, however, can be challenging and often requires two people. To simplify this, the projectors are equipped with a built-in gyro sensor that detects changes in pitch and roll angles, which are graphically displayed in the OSD settings menu. This feature enables installers to adjust the projection angle independently, without the need for additional assistance.

The displayed values are based on the angle sensor detection results and may not reflect the actual projection angle. These values are provided for reference only, and accuracy is not guaranteed.

Refreshed Web Control User Interface

The RQ7 Series includes an updated Web Control UI with support for both dark and light modes, enhancing user experience with improved visibility. The UI has been reorganized for easier navigation, allowing you to set projector command schedules (e.g., power on/off), view the OSD settings menu on a PC screen, and customize device status information on the Home screen. Additional updates feature adaptive screen sizes and enhanced mobile versions, making projector management more efficient and accessible.

Eco-Friendly Innovation with Proven Reliability

Dust-Resistant Optical Engine

The RQ7 Series features an optical engine and laser light source that meet the IP5X Dust Protected (IEC 60529) standard, eliminating the need for a filter and offering up to 20,000 hours of maintenance-free projection. Its reliability is further demonstrated through accelerated dust-chamber testing, which simulates much dustier conditions than those used for some competitive products, ensuring robust performance in challenging environments.

The Dust Protected performance of this unit does not guarantee protection against damage or failure under all conditions, such as environments with conductive dust. For environments with smoke containing oil, salt, or moisture, it is recommended to use an enclosure to ensure optimal performance.

At approximately 20,000 hours, the light output will have decreased by about 50%, based on the following conditions: IEC62087: 2008 Broadcast Contents, [NORMAL] Mode, [PICTURE MODE] set to [DYNAMIC], Dynamic Contrast [3], a temperature of 35°C (95°F), an elevation of 700 m (2,297 ft), and 0.15 mg/m³ of airborne particulate matter. Panasonic recommends performing a checkup at the point of purchase after around 20,000 hours. The light-source lifetime may vary depending on environmental conditions, and other parts may require replacement in a shorter time. Maintenance intervals will differ based on the environment.

Eco Boost Maintains Perceived Brightness with Reduced Consumption

The new Eco Boost mode further reduces energy consumption when Dynamic Contrast is enabled, while still maintaining the perceived brightness of the image.

Note: Graphic is simulated for illustrative purposes only.

Reducing Environmental Impact with Recycled Materials

In addition to using responsibly sourced materials, the plastic components in the main projector body are made from approximately 73% recycled resins, reducing the need for virgin materials. By supporting eco-friendly manufacturing processes and recycling programs at the end of the product’s life, your organization helps minimize environmental impact throughout the product's lifecycle.

The 73% recycled resins refer to the weight of the total mass of plastic parts in the projector's main unit, excluding projection lenses, printed circuit boards, labels, cables, connectors, electronic components, color sensor cases, optical components, ESD components, EMI component adhesives, and coatings.

Backup Input Redundancy

Two identical signals can be transmitted simultaneously to HDMI™ 1 (Primary) and HDMI™ 2 (Backup). If the primary input signal is interrupted, the projector automatically switches to the backup input in as little as 0.3 seconds, without any screen blanking. This feature provides an extra layer of reliability, ensuring uninterrupted image display during events where continuity is crucial.

Varies depending on the Backup Input mode and the connected external device.

The primary and backup terminal assignments are fixed, and the input signals to both the primary and backup inputs must be identical to ensure seamless switching.

Multi-Laser Drive Engine Enhances Reliability

The RQ7 Series is equipped with multiple laser modules featuring Failover Circuitry. In the rare event that a single diode fails, the Failover Circuitry ensures that power continues to be supplied to the remaining functional diodes in the series, minimizing any loss of brightness. In contrast, projectors without this circuitry may experience a complete shutdown of all diodes in the module, leading to a significant reduction in brightness.

Reduce Errors with Remote Preview LITE

Remote Preview LITE enables projectionists to verify connectivity and make image adjustments before the content is projected by viewing preview thumbnails on a laptop. This feature is particularly useful at live events where checking the content directly on the screen may be limited due to soundchecks or other logistical factors. Accessible via software or a web browser, it works with the projector in Standby or with the shutter on, helping to minimize errors and ensuring a smooth performance.
