1/2.5" 4K MOS Sensor

The AW-UE80W incorporates a 1/2.5" 4K MOS image sensor designed to capture detailed professional video across a variety of production environments.

Its imaging capabilities make the camera especially well suited for applications where accurately capturing facial expressions, performances, presentations, and movement is essential.

UHD 4K60 Video

The AW-UE80W supports UHD 4K video at up to 50/60p, providing detailed images with smooth reproduction of motion.

4K60 capability makes the camera particularly effective for live events, performing arts, corporate productions, reality programming, education, and other applications involving moving subjects.

Powerful 24x Optical Zoom

A 24x optical zoom lens provides the reach required to capture distant subjects while maintaining optical image quality.

Operators can move between wide establishing shots and detailed close-ups of presenters, performers, speakers, instructors, and other subjects without physically repositioning the camera.

Extended iZoom

For applications requiring additional reach, the AW-UE80W provides extended intelligent zoom capabilities.

• Up to 28x iZoom in UHD
• Up to 36x iZoom in HD

The extended zoom range provides additional framing flexibility in larger auditoriums, theaters, event spaces, classrooms, and corporate facilities.

Wide 74.1° Horizontal Viewing Angle

A wide 74.1° horizontal angle of view allows the AW-UE80W to capture expansive scenes when operating at its widest lens position.

Combined with the 24x optical zoom, the camera can transition between broad room coverage and tightly framed subjects from a single installation location.

Panasonic Direct Drive System

The AW-UE80W incorporates Panasonic's Direct Drive System, designed to provide improved responsiveness and quiet PTZ movement.

Smooth and precise camera positioning makes it easier to follow subjects and transition between different camera angles during live productions.

Quiet PTZ Operation

Low operating noise makes the AW-UE80W especially useful for productions where preserving the natural atmosphere is important.

Quiet camera movement allows the AW-UE80W to operate near:

• Actors
• Performers
• Presenters
• Students
• Meeting participants
• Microphones
• Live audiences

This helps reduce distractions while capturing natural interactions and expressions.

Unobtrusive Dome-Shaped Design

The AW-UE80W features a compact dome-shaped enclosure designed to reduce the visual presence of the camera.

Its discreet appearance can help minimize the feeling of being recorded, making it particularly useful for reality productions, performances, internal corporate events, academic events, and other applications where natural participant behavior is important.

Professional SDI Output

Integrated SDI connectivity allows the AW-UE80W to connect with compatible professional video switchers, recorders, routers, and production systems.

SDI provides a reliable option for conventional professional AV and live-production environments.

HDMI Video Output

An integrated HDMI output provides additional connectivity with compatible displays, video switchers, recorders, capture devices, and other AV equipment.

The combination of HDMI and SDI allows the AW-UE80W to accommodate a wide range of conventional production systems.

Professional IP Video

The AW-UE80W provides extensive IP video capabilities for modern network-based production.

Network video can simplify system design while allowing cameras and production equipment to be distributed throughout a facility or incorporated into remote-production workflows.

NDI High Bandwidth Support

The AW-UE80W supports NDI High Bandwidth, enabling integration with compatible professional NDI production systems.

High-bandwidth network video provides an additional option for organizations building professional IP-based production environments.

NDI|HX Support

Support for NDI|HX provides another option for transmitting professional video over compatible IP networks.

Multiple NDI transmission options give production teams greater flexibility when designing network-based AV workflows.

SRT Protocol Support

The AW-UE80W supports the SRT protocol for reliable network-based video transmission.

SRT compatibility makes the camera suitable for remote production, live streaming, and other workflows where video must be transported across IP networks.

H.264 & H.265 Streaming

Support for H.264 and H.265 video compression enables efficient network streaming.

The camera can stream video at up to 1080p to compatible platforms and systems, providing flexibility for:

• Live events
• Corporate broadcasts
• Online education
• Worship streaming
• Remote presentations
• Academic events
• Professional streaming

FreeD Support for AR/VR

The AW-UE80W supports FreeD, allowing camera information to be incorporated into compatible augmented reality and virtual reality systems.

FreeD compatibility expands the camera's potential for AR/VR and virtual-production environments where camera positioning needs to correspond with digitally generated elements.

PoE+ Support

PoE+ compatibility helps simplify professional installation by allowing compatible network infrastructure to provide power through the Ethernet connection.

Reducing the need for separate power cabling at the camera location can create cleaner and more efficient installations.

Flexible Camera Control

The AW-UE80W supports several camera-control methods, including:

• IP control
• USB control
• RS-422 control

These options allow the camera to accommodate different production infrastructures and operational requirements.

Stereo Mic/Line Audio Input

An integrated stereo mini-jack mic/line input allows compatible external audio sources to be connected to the camera.

This provides additional flexibility when incorporating microphone or line-level audio into compatible video, streaming, and recording workflows.

Designed for Natural Productions

The AW-UE80W is particularly well suited for applications where cameras need to capture authentic interactions without becoming a distraction.

Its combination of a discreet dome-shaped housing and quiet Direct Drive PTZ system helps reduce the camera's presence during performances, meetings, educational events, and reality-style productions.

Flexible IP Production

Support for NDI High Bandwidth, NDI|HX, SRT, and conventional IP video provides extensive flexibility when integrating the AW-UE80W into professional network-based production systems.

This wide range of transmission options makes it easier to adapt the camera to different streaming, broadcast, remote-production, and AV infrastructures.

Compact White Design

The white finish helps the AW-UE80W blend discreetly with light-colored ceilings, walls, and architectural elements.

Combined with its compact dome-shaped enclosure, the white housing makes the camera particularly suitable for permanent installations where maintaining a clean and unobtrusive appearance is important.
