1/2.5" 4K MOS Sensor

The AW-UE80K incorporates a 1/2.5" 4K MOS image sensor designed to deliver detailed video for professional production, streaming, and communication applications.

Its imaging capabilities make it suitable for productions where capturing natural expressions, movement, and fine visual detail is important.

UHD 4K60 Video

The AW-UE80K supports UHD 4K video at up to 50/60p, providing detailed images with smooth reproduction of movement.

4K60 capability makes the camera especially valuable for live events, performances, entertainment productions, corporate events, and other applications involving moving subjects.

Powerful 24x Optical Zoom

A 24x optical zoom lens provides substantial reach while maintaining optical image quality.

Operators can capture distant presenters, performers, speakers, and other subjects without physically repositioning the camera.

Extended iZoom

For applications requiring additional magnification, the AW-UE80K provides extended intelligent zoom capabilities.

• Up to 28x iZoom in UHD
• Up to 36x iZoom in HD

This extended range gives operators additional framing flexibility in larger venues and production environments.

Wide 74.1° Horizontal Viewing Angle

A wide 74.1° horizontal viewing angle allows the AW-UE80K to capture expansive scenes when operating at its widest lens position.

Combined with the 24x optical zoom, the camera provides the flexibility to transition between broad establishing shots and detailed close-ups.

Panasonic Direct Drive System

The AW-UE80K incorporates Panasonic's Direct Drive System, designed to provide improved PTZ responsiveness and quiet camera movement.

Smooth, responsive operation allows camera positioning to be adjusted precisely during professional productions without introducing unnecessary mechanical noise.

Quiet PTZ Operation

The camera's quiet operation is particularly beneficial when capturing performances, presentations, reality productions, corporate events, and other situations where maintaining the atmosphere of the environment is important.

Reduced operating noise allows the camera to work closer to performers, speakers, microphones, and participants without becoming a distraction.

Unobtrusive Dome-Shaped Design

The AW-UE80K features a compact, dome-shaped enclosure designed to reduce the visual presence of the camera within the production environment.

This unobtrusive design is particularly useful when capturing natural interactions and expressions without creating the strong visual impression of a conventional production camera.

Professional SDI Output

Integrated SDI connectivity allows the AW-UE80K to integrate with compatible professional video switchers, routers, recorders, and other production equipment.

SDI provides a familiar professional video interface for traditional broadcast and AV environments.

HDMI Video Output

The AW-UE80K also provides HDMI video output for integration with compatible displays, switchers, recorders, and capture systems.

The combination of HDMI and SDI provides flexibility when incorporating the camera into conventional video production infrastructure.

Professional IP Video

Extensive IP video capabilities make the AW-UE80K suitable for modern network-based production environments.

Network video can help simplify routing and system design while providing greater flexibility when cameras and production equipment are distributed throughout a facility.

NDI High Bandwidth Support

Support for NDI High Bandwidth enables the AW-UE80K to participate in compatible high-quality network video production workflows.

This provides an additional option for organizations moving from traditional point-to-point video cabling toward IP-based production infrastructure.

NDI|HX Support

The AW-UE80K also supports NDI|HX, providing an efficient option for transmitting professional video over compatible IP networks.

Supporting multiple NDI workflows gives production teams greater flexibility when integrating the camera with network-based production systems.

SRT Protocol Support

Support for SRT expands the camera's capabilities for reliable network-based video transport.

This makes the AW-UE80K well suited for remote production, live streaming, and other applications where video must be transmitted across IP networks.

H.264 & H.265 Streaming

The AW-UE80K supports H.264 and H.265 video compression for efficient network streaming.

Video can be streamed at up to 1080p to compatible systems and platforms, providing a flexible solution for corporate broadcasts, education, live events, remote production, and online video.

FreeD Support for AR/VR

Support for FreeD allows the AW-UE80K to be incorporated into compatible augmented reality and virtual reality production systems.

Camera-position information can be used within compatible environments to help synchronize physical camera movement with virtual production elements.

PoE+ Support

PoE+ compatibility can simplify professional installation by allowing compatible network infrastructure to provide power through the Ethernet connection.

Reducing the need for separate power cabling at the camera location can help create cleaner and more efficient installations.

Flexible Camera Control

The AW-UE80K provides multiple remote camera-control options, including:

• IP control
• USB control
• RS-422 control

These options allow the camera to accommodate different production environments and professional AV infrastructures.

Stereo Mic/Line Audio Input

An integrated stereo mini-jack mic/line input allows compatible external audio sources to be connected to the camera.

This provides additional flexibility when incorporating audio into compatible streaming, recording, and production workflows.

Reliable IP Production

The AW-UE80K is designed to provide the reliability and system flexibility required for professional network-based production.

Support for multiple IP transmission protocols allows organizations to select the workflow that best matches their production infrastructure and application.

Designed for Natural Productions

The combination of a discreet dome-shaped enclosure and quiet Direct Drive PTZ operation makes the AW-UE80K particularly effective for productions where maintaining a natural atmosphere is important.

The camera can capture performers, presenters, employees, students, and other participants without the physical presence associated with a larger operated camera.

Compact Black Design

The AW-UE80K combines extensive professional capabilities within a compact black enclosure suitable for permanent and semi-permanent installations.

Its discreet design allows the camera to integrate into studios, event venues, corporate spaces, educational facilities, performance environments, and other professional locations.
