Introducing the Atlas Sound Recessed Circular Vandal Proof Baffle for 8" Speakers and Select Horn Speakers VP60R, a robust and protective baffle assembly designed for tamperproof recessed installation of a standard 8" cone speaker or an APF Series re-entrant horn. For horn installation, the adapter plate Model FAMT-6 is required.

The trim ring of the VP60R is crafted from a durable aluminum alloy with a high tensile strength of 44,000 P.S.I. It features a 3/4" shielding collar that acts as a protective barrier, safeguarding the speaker from potential damage or impacts.

The speaker is securely mounted to welded studs located behind a perforated 22-gauge CRS (cold-rolled steel) plate. This plate is further protected by a stainless steel-woven wire-mesh screen positioned 3/8" in front of it, serving as a direct impact shield. To enhance its strength and durability, the mesh screen is reinforced by a thick bead of sealant on the inside, providing added protection against tearing or bending.

The Model VP60R ensures a secure installation by utilizing tamperproof heat-treated alloy screws, and a special wrench is provided for installation. The mounting holes are countersunk, enhancing the overall security of the unit.

The finish of the VP60R is satin aluminum with an acrylic coating, providing an attractive appearance while also offering additional protection against wear and corrosion.
