Introducing the AtlasIED model SM191-78-8 extra-depth surface mount enclosure, a purpose-built solution that enhances the performance and extends the quality of 8" diameter commercial and professional speakers. This enclosure is designed to optimize the audio experience by providing improved acoustics and extended low-frequency response.
The increased volume of the SM191-78-8 enclosure plays a critical role in enhancing the low-frequency performance of the speakers. By improving acoustic loading, the enclosure allows for more accurate reproduction of bass frequencies, resulting in a richer and more immersive sound.
To ensure optimal sound quality, the inner surfaces of the backbox are undercoated. This undercoating effectively prevents metallic resonance in the higher frequencies, eliminating any unwanted vibrations or distortions that could impact the overall audio performance.
The backbox of the SM191-78-8 enclosure is lined with 1-1/2" (38 mm) thick high-density fiberglass, which has a density of 1-1/2 lbs. per cubic foot. This acoustic fiberglass lining helps absorb and dissipate sound energy, reducing unwanted reflections and resonances, and resulting in improved clarity and overall sound reproduction.
Constructed from heavy-gauge CRS (cold-rolled steel), the SM191-78-8 surface mount enclosure ensures durability and long-lasting performance. We operate with a “Net 30 Day" payment arrangement for approved purchase orders. Payment is expected to be made in full not more than 30 days after your order is processed.
