Introducing the innovative Atlas Sound Blind Mount 4 inch Enclosure 7 inch Deep BMT95-4-7, a remarkable solution for secure and hassle-free installation of speakers in retrofit ceiling applications. This system offers a cost-effective alternative that is easy to implement while ensuring a reliable and professional outcome.
With U.S. Patent #4,673,149, the AtlasIED 4" Blind-Mount enclosure system provides all the necessary hardware for a seamless installation process. Its unique support system features mounting ears that telescope out from inside the enclosure, allowing for vertical adjustment. This adaptability enables the system to accommodate ceilings with a thickness ranging from 1/2" (13mm) to 1 3/8" (35mm), providing a flexible solution for various retrofit applications.
Constructed with CRS (Cold Rolled Steel), the units in this system are built to last. They include torsion-spring receptacles, facilitating quick and efficient mounting of torsion-spring grilles. Additionally, J-Nuts are included on the enclosure's return to support the installation of surface-mounting grilles, adding versatility to grille options.
To ensure easy cable access and management, the enclosure backplates are equipped with three 1/2" (13mm) conduit knockouts. This feature allows for convenient routing of cables, minimizing installation complexities. Furthermore, the enclosure is equipped with sound damping material, effectively reducing metallic resonance and enhancing the overall sound quality.
Supported by two mounting ears, the enclosure models within the system are designed to accommodate AtlasIED torsion-spring grille Models T51-84 and T720-4BT, enabling seamless integration of 4" (102mm) speakers.
For installations that require additional depth, the BMT95-4-7 model offers a 7" (178mm) extra-depth version. This model includes high-density fiberglass fill, enhancing acoustic performance. Finished in a textured black epoxy, it combines a sleek appearance with durability, ensuring both functionality and aesthetics.
