The Sony BRC-AM7 4K60 PTZ Camera with AI Auto-Framing is a professional production camera designed for live events, sports, broadcast, houses of worship, corporate productions, education, and multicamera environments. Combining a large 1.0"-type Exmor RS image sensor with approximately 14 million effective pixels and Sony's BIONZ XR image-processing engine, the BRC-AM7 delivers detailed UHD 4K60 imagery with low noise and lifelike rendering.
Built-in AI analytics provide sophisticated PTZ Auto Framing and subject tracking, enabling the camera to automatically follow and frame moving subjects while maintaining precise focus.
UHD 4K60 Imaging
The BRC-AM7 combines its 1.0"-type Exmor RS sensor and BIONZ XR processor to capture high-resolution images with accurate detail, natural textures, and low noise.
The camera supports professional UHD 4K video at up to 60 fps, making it suitable for demanding live production and broadcast applications where smooth motion and image quality are essential.
AI PTZ Auto Framing
Built-in AI analytics allow the BRC-AM7 to recognize and track human subjects automatically.
The system analyzes multiple characteristics, including:
- Human pose
- Head position
- Facial information
- Clothing
- Subject movement
The camera then automatically controls pan, tilt, and zoom to maintain natural-looking framing as the subject moves.
This functionality can reduce dependence on dedicated camera operators, particularly in multicamera productions, presentations, stage performances, and sporting events.
Advanced Subject Tracking & Autofocus
The Exmor RS sensor incorporates focal-plane phase-detection autofocus across the imaging area, providing fast and accurate focusing on moving subjects.
Combined with PTZ Auto Framing, the autofocus system helps the camera continuously follow active subjects while maintaining precise focus. This is particularly valuable when tracking performers, athletes, speakers, and other subjects who move unpredictably throughout a scene.
20x Optical Zoom
The integrated lens provides a versatile 20x optical zoom with a 24-480mm full-frame equivalent focal-length range.
Sony's Clear Image Zoom extends the camera's reach even further:
- 20x optical zoom: 24-480mm equivalent
- 30x zoom in UHD 4K: Up to approximately 720mm equivalent
- 40x zoom in 1080p: Up to approximately 940mm equivalent
This extensive range allows the camera to cover wide establishing shots as well as tightly framed subjects from considerable distances.
Electronic Variable ND Filter
An integrated electronic variable ND filter provides seamless adjustment from 1/4 to 1/128 ND.
Automatic exposure operation can dynamically adjust the ND level as lighting changes, helping maintain proper exposure without unnecessarily altering iris, shutter speed, gain, or the desired depth of field.
This is particularly useful for stages, live events, sports, and other environments where lighting conditions can change rapidly.
Sony Color & Production Integration
The BRC-AM7 supports several professional Sony imaging profiles and standards, including:
- ITU709 / 709tone
- S-Cinetone
- S-Log3
These options improve interoperability with other Sony production cameras and make it easier to integrate the BRC-AM7 into multicamera environments requiring consistent color reproduction.
Support for S700PTP, free-d, and additional professional protocols further expands integration possibilities.
Professional Video Connectivity
The BRC-AM7 provides extensive connectivity for professional broadcast and AV workflows.

- PoE++ network connection
PoE++ can simplify installations by supplying power through compatible network infrastructure where dedicated camera power wiring is unavailable.

All Purchase Orders are subject to approval. Simply email, fax or mail your purchase order and please ensure your P/O contains the following information:
- Contact name, email address & telephone number Note: An email address is required to receive order/shipping confirmation
- Billing name & address
- Shipping address
- Tax ID# (for tax Exempt orders, please see TAX EXEMPT section below)
- Purchase Order Number
- Date needed (please note: Up to 3-5 days are needed to process requests. This does not include delivery time.
- Authorized signature (Your purchase order can only be accepted when accompanied by the signature of the officer authorizing the purchase and when submitted on your organization's official purchase order form or letterhead.)
- Purchase orders must be in excess of $75 (excluding shipping). All prices are in USD$
- Sales tax is charged only on orders shipping to the state of FL
