The PTZOptics 12X-USB Gen2 PTZ Camera is a professional Full HD camera designed for web conferencing, live streaming, distance learning, corporate meetings, houses of worship, and other professional AV applications. Finished in gray, it features a 1/2.7" 2.1MP CMOS sensor, 12x optical zoom, and USB 3.0 connectivity for direct connection to Mac and Windows computers.

The Gen2 platform supports 1080p video at up to 60/50 fps and offers H.265 and MJPEG network streaming in addition to H.264, providing flexible options for conferencing and live production workflows.

Versatile 12x Optical Zoom

The integrated 3.5–42.3mm lens provides a 12x optical zoom range, giving users the flexibility to frame everything from group meetings and classrooms to tighter shots of individual speakers and presenters.

USB 3.0 Conferencing Connectivity

A USB 3.0 output allows the camera to connect directly to a compatible computer for HD web conferencing and video production.

The USB connection is also backward compatible with USB 2.0 when the camera resolution is set to 960 x 540, providing additional flexibility when integrating with older computer systems.

Because the camera provides uncompressed 1080p video through USB, a quad-core Mac or Windows computer is recommended for reliable processing.

Multiple Video Outputs

In addition to USB, the camera provides HDMI, LAN, and composite outputs, allowing it to accommodate a wide range of professional conferencing and streaming workflows.

USB, LAN, and HDMI outputs can operate simultaneously at the same selected resolution. The composite output operates independently at 480i/576i.

IP Streaming

The integrated LAN connection enables direct network streaming without requiring a separate streaming encoder for compatible workflows.

The camera can transmit two H.264 or H.265 RTSP streams simultaneously, with one HD and one SD stream, or provide a single MJPEG stream.

Built-in UVC control allows compatible software to control pan, tilt, and zoom directly through the USB connection.

The UVC protocol can be configured for either absolute or relative operation, providing additional flexibility when integrating the camera with compatible conferencing and production applications.

NewTek TriCaster Integration

The camera supports NewTek TriCaster control, including integration with TriCaster Mini systems.

Multiple cameras can be connected through supported RS-232 workflows and operated directly through TriCaster software. Compatible third-party solutions can also enable IP-based TriCaster control.

Programmable Presets

Store frequently used camera positions for quick transitions between presenters, meeting participants, classrooms, stages, or other points of interest.

The included IR remote can control up to four cameras and provides access to numerous camera settings through the on-screen display.

Flexible Installation

The camera can be placed on a desktop or installed overhead using an optional PTZOptics ceiling-mount bracket, making it suitable for both temporary setups and permanently integrated conferencing systems.
