The Panasonic PT-RZ21K Projector is the world’s first 20,000 lumens laser projector. Combining a 20000-lumen laser source and WUXGA resolution be assured that this projector will capture every audience's attention. Eliminate the need for a consumable air filter while enabling maintenance-free operational life of 20,000 hours for the whole projector. This is achieved with a hermetically protected optical unit and heat-pipe-based internal cooling system with a one-way airflow. The projector can operate continuously for long periods in large-scale event environments without regular maintenance, saving operators considerable time and money. With no filter, light-source lifespan of 20,000 hours, and controlled, linear picture degradation, the PT-RZ21K Series leads the field for a low total cost of ownership.
SOLID SHINE Laser Technology
Bright and Vivid Picture Quality from 3-Chip DLP™ SOLID SHINE Laser
Combining 3-Chip DLP™ imaging with original SOLID SHINE Laser Phosphor technology, Panasonic 3-Chip DLP™ SOLID SHINE Laser Series produces vividly colored pictures rich in detail with excellent brightness. Solid-state laser light sources and specially engineered heat-resistant phosphor wheels work together with three discrete DLP™ modules (R/G/B) for high brightness, true color accuracy, and high contrast in large venues.

Precision Color Reproduction
3-Chip DLP™ SOLID SHINE Laser projectors capture a more accurate color space than comparable laser projectors. Blue lasers ensure greater precision while an expanded color gamut improves white-balance accuracy.
Dual-Laser Optical Engine Assures Failsafe Reliability
Dual-Drive Laser Optical Engine groups laser diodes into two discrete modules. A redundancy circuit works to minimize brightness- and color-uniformity loss should a laser diode fail, making supported products ideal for applications where picture presentation must be maintained.

The World’s First*1 Filterless Design*2 for 20,000 lm Laser Projector

*1 As of October 2017.
*2 Light-source lifetime may be reduced depending on environmental conditions. Replacement of parts other than the light source may be required in a shorter period.
*3 At this time, brightness will have decreased to approximately 50 % of its original level (NORMAL Mode, Dynamic Contrast Mode: 3, Image Mode: Dynamic, IEC62087: 2008 Broadcast Content, dust density of 0.15 mg/m3). Usage environment affects light-source lifespan. Replacement of parts other than the light source may be required in a shorter period. Panasonic recommends cleaning or checkup at point of purchase after approximately 20,000 hours.
Image Quality and Reliability
120 Hz Real Motion Processor Reduces Motion Blur
Real Motion Processor interpolates images for a 120 Hz* frame-rate. Smooth 120 Hz* reproduction is possible via simultaneous inputs (dual SDI inputs or DVI-D/HDMI). Together with a refined optical engine to enhance focus, Real Motion Processor delivers a better sense of resolution, contrast, and fluidity.

*Refresh-rate varies depending on vertical scanning frequency.
Detail Clarity Processor 5
Proprietary circuitry analyzes individual video frames to identify and clarify areas of the image containing fine details and textures. Algorithms pull information from four frequency bandwidths, from super-high to low, to sharpen outlines, correct contours, and reduce ringing noise.

Dynamic Contrast Function for High 20,000:1 Contrast
Direct laser power output modulation achieves high contrast with less power consumption. Digitally controlled frame-by-frame scene-linking modulation ensures precise output adjustment, while accurate 20,000:1* contrast is delivered even when bright and dark scenes frequently interchange.
* Please refer to the specification page for detail condition.
System Daylight View 3
This premium technology stops pictures washing out in bright light and assures dramatic impact for mapping and multi-projector applications. It uses sensor information to correct sharpness, gamma curves, and colors to suit on-site conditions.

90 % Brightness Uniformity
SOLID SHINE Laser delivers superior screen brightness uniformity thanks to highly accurate white balance control. Brightness uniformity is greater than 90 % when measured at the corners, edges, and center of the screen.

Installation Flexibility and Powerful Functionality
Free 360-degree Installation
SOLID SHINE Laser enables free 360-degree installation through any axis. Together with powered lens shift and wide range of optional lenses, this projector can project images from any orientation without picture distortion.

Contrast Sync and Shutter Sync Function
Contrast Sync allows Dynamic Contrast Control to be synchronized for consistent picture quality across multiple screens. Shutter Sync, meanwhile, synchronizes shutter on/off timing.

Single-Cable DIGITAL LINK Connection
DIGITAL LINK transmits uncompressed Full HD video and control commands through a single CAT 5e or higher STP cable for distances of up to 150 m (492 ft)*. Optional DIGITAL LINK Switcher or Digital Interface Box further simplifies installation, reduces cabling and associated costs, and enhances reliability.
* 150 m (492 ft) transmission available only with ET-YFB200G DIGITAL LINK Switcher for signals up to 1080p.

Backup Input Guarantees Picture Display
Projectors switch instantly to a backup input* should the primary signal be disrupted, so the display is maintained in situations where projection must not be interrupted. No screen-blanking occurs during backup input switching.

Note: Primary and secondary signals must be the same.
*Combination of primary/secondary input terminals is fixed. Switching to secondary input (or primary input) occurs automatically when the input signal for primary input (or secondary input) is disrupted. The Backup Input Setting is enabled only when the input signal to primary and secondary terminals is the same.
Geometric Adjustment with Free Grid Correction via Remote Control
Panasonic has added a new Free Grid function to existing Geometric Adjustment that enables convenient grid-based image adjustment using the projector’s remote controller. Grid resolutions of 2 x 2, 3 x 3, 5 x 5, 9 x 9, or 17 x 17 can be projected and areas of the image reshaped or geometrically altered to compensate for screen distortions. This correction is easily performed by adjusting control points located at grid-line intersections. Move freely between grid resolutions to achieve the desired level of granularity without losing work progress. This clever data-saving function allows technicians to smoothly create a distortion-free projection in a wide range of installation situations.

Note: Free Grid requires the latest firmware. Register your projector at PASS to update firmware.
Geometry Manager Pro Software and Upgrade Kits
Download free Geometry Manager Pro software to expand geometric and multi-screen setup and calibration capabilities via PC. The suite includes two upgrade kits that can be optionally unlocked with paid key codes. ET-UK20 adds uniformity correction and extensive creative masking capabilities. ET-CUK10 features Auto Screen Adjustment which enables simultaneous setup (including curved-screen correction) of multiple projectors for multi-screen applications using a compatible camera. This streamlines edge-blending, color-matching, black-level, stacking, and brightness uniformity calibration.

Note: Requires the latest firmware. Register your projector at PASS to update firmware, get free Geometry Manager Pro software for PC, obtain activation keys for ET-UK20 and ET-CUK10, and download a plug-in for ET-CUK10. Compatible cameras for ET-CUK10 comprise Panasonic AW-HE70/ AW-UE70 and Nikon D5200/D5300/D5500/D5600.
3D Projection Capability
This Panasonic projector is compatible with active 3D projection technology

Multi Monitoring & Control Software
Panasonic Multi Monitoring & Control Software supports up to 2,048 devices over LAN and features system map visualization or auto-search of devices to be registered. The free software is available with Early Warning functions (automatic free 90-day trial available). These advanced functions enable real-time monitoring, abnormality detection, and notification before servicing is required. Administrators can achieve seamless control and real-time monitoring while preventing potential problems, saving time, and enhancing system reliability.

*Software functionality varies depending on the model.
